DESCRIPTION:📢 Boules Tournament Recap: A Day of Fun and Friendly Competition! 🎯🌞 \nOn Friday\, May 17th\, the St. Michael’s Hospice Charity events team hosted our inaugural Boules tournament at the Tala Boules Club in sunny Cyprus. Here’s a glimpse of the exciting day: \n\nThe Draw and Mini Leagues:\n\nTwenty pairs participated\, and we divided them into four mini leagues for a round-robin elimination.\nThe winning pair from each league advanced to the semi-finals\, while the remaining 16 pairs competed in the Plate knockout tournament.\n\n\nLunchtime and Souvlaki:\n\nAs lunchtime approached\, we gathered on the sunny terrace of the Hazeli Bar.\nSouvlaki was on the menu\, and Melissa Williams provided delightful tunes.\n\n\nPlate Competition:\n\nAfter lunch\, the Plate competition resumed.\nThe sixteen pairs narrowed down to eight\, and then to our semi-finalists.\n\n\nMain Event: Plate Final:\n\nRobert Brookfield and Norbert Dewas faced off against Lucy and David Keeton in the Plate Final.\nLucy\, a first-time winner\, walked away with a runner-up medal as Robert and Norbert secured victory.\n\n\nGrand Final:\n\nThe main event featured Graham Clark and Alan Boswell against Paul and Jackie Gibbons.\nThe crowd eagerly watched as the hard-fought battle unfolded.\nIn the end\, Graham and Alan emerged as the champions.\n\n\nTerrace Refreshments and Awards:\n\nWe moved back to the terrace\, enjoying refreshments and the warm hospitality of Renos and the team.\nCharity president David Hart and his wife Carolyn joined us for the trophy presentation.\nThe raffle added an extra layer of excitement.\n\n\nFarewell:\n\nWith memories of a fun and competitive day\, we slowly dispersed\, grateful for the camaraderie and support.\n\n\n\nThank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of this event! 🌟🏆🌿 \nYour participation supported a great cause – The St. Michael’s Hospice Charity. We provide financial support and assistance to the Pasykaf Archangel Michael Hospice.\nWe help them to enhance life when it is needed most. \n
